Open Learning at a Glance.
We have Open Learning Centres in each of our high schools. Located on each high school site, students from grade 8-12 are supported through until graduation. Being on site allows students to be more easily integrated into the regular school. Many students engage in elective opportunities while receiving the extra support of the Open Learning Centre staff. Each Open Learning Centre has a full time teacher and a 4 hour a day Student Support Worker.
The goal of the Open Learning Centres is to help students get back on track and fully reintegrate back into their home high school. Some students will return and graduate, others will graduate from the Open Learning Centre, and some will transition to CVOLC to finish their education.
